Food poisoning is another cause of acute diarrhea. It generally happens due to toxins produced by the bacteria and cause abdominal cramps, vomiting and some times patient generally lose large amount of fluids which results in diarrhea. Some bacteria contaminated the food before it is consumed by someone while some bacteria directly effect in the intestine after the food is eaten.
