Drugs : Cause of Accute Diarrhea

Bacteria, viral and parasites are not only the cause of diarrhea. Now days there are many drugs in the market whose side effects can cause diarrhea. These medicines can affect the bacterial imbalance of intestine which lead to infection in the stomach and can lead to diarrhea.
Drugs like nutritional supplements, antibiotics, antacids, medicines for chemotherapy, medicines related to heart, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs NSAIDs, high blood pressure medicines etc generally causes diarrhea. Medicines which contain magnesium some times lead to diarrhea.
Misoprostol, quinidine, olsalazine, colchicine, metoclopramide and cisapride are the some type of medicines which causes diarrhea. Some times people are also affected from diarrhea after any sort of abdominal surgery. Lactose intolerance can also result in the problem of diarrhea.
So before taking any medicines first take advice from the doctor. Don’t take any medicine without consulting the doctor as it results in diarrhea. If you feel any side affects of the medicine consult the doctor immediately. So that it cannot cause any tummy disorder.
