Appendicitis is a severe condition in which the appendix of an individual becomes inflamed and later filled with pus. The appendix is a small bag that puts out from the colon on the lower right side of the abdomen. This finger shaped apparatus does not have any important purpose, but still it does not mean that it cause problems. Any person who is in the age group of 10-30 can become a victim of appendicitis pain. There are some symptoms that can cause appendicitis.
- The most common symptom is the pain around the navel that many a times transfer to the lower right abdomen.
- The pain becomes sharper when the level of inflammation or redness touches the tissues.
- The pain sets in the lower right abdomen- near the appendix that is known as Mc Burney point. This point is in the middle between the navel and the right pelvic bone.
The position of the appendicitis may change as it depends on the age of the individual and the appendix position. Moreover, the pain gets worse on various situations like during pressure release, cough, walk or any twisting movements.
In addition to appendix pain, there are some other signs that can indicate appendicitis. It includes nausea, vomit, low appetite, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal swell.
